Alright...I’m wrapping up my kick with tahini as a baking base.
If you haven't done so already, you have to check out our previous blog and recipe for my tahini muffins, so good!
Without further ado here are two more recipes for you to try!
Tahini Brownies
Ingredients
½ cup tahini
½ cup apple sauce
4 tbsp of cocoa powder- I used 2 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder and 2 tbsp of Ghirardelli cocoa powder
¼ baking powder
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (Isopure)
¼ + ⅛ cup sugar
1 egg
Directions
Mix all ingredients together
Blend together
Bake at 325 for 20 mins
It’s as simple as that! I actually really like these, they were so light and airy. You can always add some nuts or chocolate chips to your batter for a little extra something!
Tahini Apple Cookies
Ingredients
½ cup tahini
½ cup applesauce
½ cup almond flour
½ cup GF oats
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp maple syrup or agave
1 tbsp milk
1 tbsp egg white
1 tsp baking powder
Pecans
Pumpkin seeds
1 apple
Cranberries (optional)
Directions
Mix all ingredients together except for the apples, pumpkin seeds, and cranberries
Blend ingredients together
Add in peeled apple slices, pumpkin and cranberries (if desired)
Fold into batter
Bake at 350 for about 20 mins or golden
Another great flavor and different take on the traditional cookie. These cookies had a sweet yet earthy flavor which was so refreshing.
Again, all of these bakes (muffin, brownie, cookie) can be made with other nut butters, but I would highly recommend trying them first with tahini.
