Coming in hot!

We've got a hot pasta dish coming your way - LASAGNA!

Lasagna can look intimidating with all the different components, but we are here to show you just how simple and easy it can be. Layered with flavor and texture, this dish will be a new favorite!

Grocery List:

  • Tomato sauce

  • Onion

  • Garlic

  • Ground turkey

  • Spinach

  • Italian seasoning

  • Egg

  • Ricotta cheese

  • Parmesan cheese

  • Parsley

  • Mozzarella cheese

  • Lasagna noodles

Layers:

  1. Sauce:

    1. Ground turkey, tomato sauce, onion, garlic, Italian seasonings, spinach

  2. Noodles:

    1. Cooked lasagna noodles

  3. Cheese:

    1. Ricotta cheese, egg, parmesan cheese, parsley, Italian seasonings

    2. Mozzarella cheese

Once all layers are made, you can start to layer them in a baking dish. Start with a layer of sauce at the base of the dish, next add a single layer of noodles, lastly, top with the cheese mixture and mozzarella. Continue to layer and finish with mozzarella at the top. Bake covered until the last 15 minutes. After baking let the lasagna rest for at least 15+ minutes before cutting it. This will help maintain shape and layers.

  • Try different proteins and protein combinations

    • Ground turkey, pork, beef, chicken

  • Try meatless sauces

  • Try veggie noodles

Storing:

  • Lasagna can easily be made ahead of time and stored in the freezer for later use. You can freeze lasagna before baking or after baking. When ready to eat, take out of freeze the day before to thaw out in the fridge. Bake as originally directed if not pre-baked or reheat in the oven at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes if pre-baked.

  • Have dinner leftovers? Cover and store the leftover lasagna dish in the fridge, and when ready to eat again, reheat the dish in the oven at 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes. You can also just cut out individual pieces and reheat the lasagna in the microwave.

  • If using this recipe for meal prepping throughout the week, bake and store individual pieces of lasagna in air-tight containers for up to 4 days in the fridge. Warm up in the microwave when ready to consume.
